Exam Details and Format:

  • Number of Questions: 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Question Type: Each question will have four options, with only one correct answer (Single Best Response Type).
  • Pass Criteria: To pass, candidates need to score 50% or more. There is no negative marking.
  • Exam Duration: The exam will last for 3 hours.
  • Mental Agility Test: 20 questions from the Mental Agility Test will be included for all academic programs.
  • Specific Subjects: For programs requiring eligibility from PCL (Proficiency Certificate Level) in Health Sciences, 20 MCQs related to the subject will be included.

Difficulty Level Breakdown:

The questions will be categorized into the following levels:

  • Recall: 30% of the questions
  • Understanding: 50% of the questions
  • Application: 20% of the questions

Eligibility for MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing/BASLP/B Perfusion Technology:

To be eligible for these programs, candidates must:

  1. Have passed 10+2 Science or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and secured at least 50% aggregate marks (or GPA of 2.4).
    OR
  2. Have passed the Health Science Proficiency Certificate Level /Diploma in fields like General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Radiography, or Physiotherapy, and meet the requirements for equivalence to a 12th Science program. The candidate must also have at least 50% in total marks for both the diploma and the equivalence exam.
  3. The applicant must be registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council, Nepal Pharmacy Council, or Nepal Ayurveda Council, depending on the specific program.

  • Question Type: Single best response MCQs.

But it is not mandatory for everyone and you will have to meet the specific admission criterion of the country or institution you are applying to, such as IELTS, TOEFL, NEET, or any other tests.
