Kathmandu, June 26, 2025 – The Embassy of India, Kathmandu has officially announced the opening of online applications for the prestigious COMPEX-2025 Scholarship Scheme. This initiative offers Nepali students the opportunity to pursue undergraduate studies in top Indian institutions across various disciplines, including Engineering (BE/B.Tech), Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag.), Food Technology (B.Sc. FT), and Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) for the academic year 2025-26.

Key Dates for Applicants:

• Online Registration Opens: June 26, 2025
  
• Final Date for Online Application Submission: July 9, 2025 (by 11:45 PM)
  
• Last Date for Fee Payment at Nepal SBI Bank: July 11, 2025
  
• Final Submission with Challan Upload: July 13, 2025 (by 11:45 PM)
  

A competitive Computer-Based Test (CBT) is scheduled for the fourth week of July 2025 in Kathmandu. Admit cards will be available three days prior on the official website: www.indembkathmandu.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have completed their 10+2 level (equivalent to India’s CBSE standard) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and at least 50% in English. Specific subject-wise percentage requirements apply depending on the chosen course.

Application Process:

The application process consists of three steps:

1. Online Registration via the Embassy’s website and obtaining a valid "Study in India" ID.
   
2. Application Submission and downloading of the bank challan.
   
3. Fee Payment at any Nepal SBI branch and uploading the scanned challan.
   

An application fee of NPR 400 is applicable. Candidates may apply for a maximum of two courses.

Important Guidelines:

• Students appearing for their 10+2 exams in 2025 may also apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria upon result declaration.
  
• Selection and placement through COMPEX do not guarantee final admission, which is subject to confirmation by the respective Indian institutions.
  
• No requests for changes in institutions or course streams will be entertained after selection.
