About SRM University
SRM University Ramapuram, Chennai, was established in 1985 and later recognized as a Deemed-to-be University in 2002. It is currently ranked 53rd in NIRF 2021 and is approved by UGC and AICTE, with accreditation from NAAC A++. Established in 1985 as SRM Engineering College, it later became a deemed-to-be university and was known as SRM University before adopting its current official name. Today, both names are used interchangeably and refer to the same reputed multi-campus university system headquartered in Kattankulathur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Tiruchirappalli offers a special fee structure for Nepalese students for the 2026–27 academic session. The fee packages are designed to cover most student expenses, making it easier to plan the total cost of study.
For most undergraduate programmes, the fee package includes tuition fees, 3-sharing air-conditioned hostel accommodation, food, laundry services, and examination fees. This means students generally do not need to pay separate hostel or mess charges unless they opt for upgraded accommodation or additional personal services.
The total fee varies according to the programme. B.Tech Computer Science and all CSE specializations are priced at ₹10,00,000 for the complete 4-year programme, while other B.Tech branches cost ₹8,00,000. Nursing programmes are priced at ₹10,00,000, Allied Health Sciences undergraduate programmes generally cost ₹6,00,000, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and Bachelor of Physiotherapy are ₹8,00,000, and postgraduate programmes such as M.Tech and Allied Health PG programmes are ₹4,00,000. MBA is ₹4,50,000, MCA is ₹4,25,000, B.Sc/B.Com/BBA/BCA programmes are ₹6,00,000, and B.Sc Hotel Management is ₹4,50,000.
